Old
vinyl recordings needing preservation, demo recordings of the band you
played in as a teenager, that dodgy hand-held cassette recording of your
nieces' wedding or old tape recordings which have become tired through
age and overuse - don't throw them out!
Using
professional software and an extensive range of playback machines
many types of old recordings can be successfully restored to digital
media at Urthworks. |

Material
can be recovered from vinyl (33.3, 45, 78 rpm), cassette, 1/4"
open-reel 2-track and stereo, some open-reel multi-track formats, MD,
CD, DAT and multiple data formats (wav of various rates and resolutions,
aiff, mp3, realaudio etc.). Other formats by arrangement.
Where necessary projects have been undertaken in collaboration with
Cedar Audio, Cambridge and FXRental's Copyroom, London.
